WP 2
Building NBS Academy and its network
WP2 aims at building the first Academy for promoting and mainstreaming NBS in teacher education, NBS Academy will establish, coordinate and support the creation of an international network of ITE (Initial Teacher Education) and CPD (Continuous Professional Development) providers connected to teachers, NBS experts, policy makers, etc., to promote NBS in teacher education.
Specifically, WP2 will focus on:
- Creating a strategic roadmap for developing and sustaining NBS Academy’s network of NBS trainers, teachers and experts;
- Establishing a framework for building Collaborative Learning Communities to transform NBS Academy into a Community of Practice for NBS teacher education;
- Designing and delivering measures for connecting NBS Academy with other international networks and initiatives.
WP 3
Train the Trainer programme development
WP3 aims at developing a comprehensive “Train the Trainer” programme and materials and supporting ITE and CPD trainers to design innovative NBS education programmes for their trainees (i.e. both pre-service and in-service teachers).
Specifically, WP3 will focus on:
- Exploring and analyseingthe training needs of ITE and CPD trainers,
- Developing an international “Train the Trainer” programme and test it during an online and physical training seminar,
- Developing a digital resource hub with materials and resources for designing and developing training opportunities on NBS education.
WP 4
Development of ITE and CPD programmes through Living Labs
WP4 aims at:
- Setting up Living Labs in each partner county and engage the local CoPs in the development of new teacher training programmes; Explore and analyse the training
needs of teachers - Developing innovative training programmes both for pre-service and in-service teachers that promote collaborative learning, embrace multilingualism and the use of
new technologies and integrate mobility schemes to foster the internationalization of teacher education in Europe.
WP 5
Pilot testing and validationWP5 aims at testing NBS Academy’s teacher training courses and mobility schemes and validating them to showcase their contribution to foster NBS teacher education in Europe.
Specifically, WP5 will focus on:
- Organising, delivering and testing the courses and the mobility schemes
- Collecting feedback from participants and developing case studies
- Analysing data and produce a cross-country validation study
WP 6
Promoting and scaling up NBS AcademyWP6 aims at fostering NBS Academy’s scalability, transferability and long-term sustainability appropriate tools, motivation, and measures and at develop evidence-based policy recommendations for supporting EU and national policy makers to foster the integration of NBS in teacher education.
WP 7
Dissemination and Communication
WP7 is oriented towards raising wide awareness about the project’s results and promote their dissemination and exploitation through a variety of effective dissemination & communication activities. This WP aims at developing appropriate tools, motivation, and measures to foster NBS Academy’s scalability, transferability, and long-term sustainability. The communication and diffusion of NBS Academy activities and results will be a continuous process starting at the beginning of the project, showcasing the project’s work, outcomes, intermediate and final results.
